You can transfer a minimum of Rs.5 and a Maximum of Rs.30 from your Airtel Prepaid number to any other Airtel Prepaid Number. You can made transfers in the denomination of Rs.10, Rs.20 too.

Unfortunately, there is no facility as of now to transfer your Airtel SIM balance to another Vodafone number.

Unfortunately, there is no facility as of now to transfer your Airtel SIM balance to another Idea Mobile Prepaid or postpaid number.

Airtel to BSNL Balance Transfer

Unfortunately, there is no facility as of now to transfer your Airtel SIM balance to another BSNL Mobile Prepaid or postpaid number.

Airtel to Aircel Balance Transfer

Unfortunately, there is no facility as of now to transfer your Airtel SIM balance to another Aircel Mobile Prepaid or postpaid number.

What is the Purpose of Balance Transfer

Airtel is not the first mobile service provider to introduce this balance transfer facility. All other companies like Vodafone and Idea have this facility.

The purpose of balance transfer is like an emergency loan. Generally balance transfer takes place between close friends and some times between family members.

Who Introduced Balance Transfer first

Airtel is one of the last companies to introduce the balance transfer feature to its users. The first company to provide this facility is Aircel followed by Vodafone.

On the technical side, there will not be any financial advantages to Airtel by providing this balance transfer facility. This feature is provided only as a complimentary purposes.

In fact, for the smooth functioning of this Balance Transfer feature, Airtel has to allocate more and more technical and financial resources, which is in turn an added burden and also extra expenditure on its part.

How long will the Balance Transfer option last

Due to the introduction of Reliance Jio, companies have started offering unlimited voice calling and also unlimited data packs.

This means that, in the near future, you wont see the concept of Recharge or Mobile balance. So, this feature of Balance Transfer will not stay long as it becomes irrelevant with the changing technological landscape in India.
